The disciple and his Master are sitting in the middle of the prairie.
“May I ask you a question, Master?” says the disciple.
The Master stands still and doesn’t answer.
“What is the meaning of life?”
The Master seems to move his head from one side to the other.
“Is it possible that life has no meaning at all?”
The Master is about to open his eyes, but he doesn’t.
“Because if there is no meaning, everything is permitted, isn’t it?”
The Master’s balding head looks as if it frowned.
“And if everything is permitted, what is the parameter for action?”
The Master’s breathing is becoming faster.
“Are you suggesting that there is nothing but relativity?”
The Master opens his eyes, yawns and stands up.
“Please, Master, show me the way.”
The Master begins walking along the path.
“He is a wise man,” the disciple finally whispers.
